Fall in Austin does not mean cozy flannel or warm blankets...just yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t partake in what makes the season so warm and comforting. We put together a list of activities to help you and the family jump right into Autumn.
1. Corn Maze - Robinson Family Pumpkin Patch – October 1- November 3
Nothing screams “fall” more than a pumpkin. Starting September 19th, Robinson’s family pumpkin patch is opening up to the public. Fall Days at the Robinson Family Farm will run Saturdays & Sundays, September 19th through November 1st, 2020.
2. Campout - Enchanted Rock, Pedernales
With the weather getting cooler, fall is the perfect time to enjoy the Texas outdoors. Parks are available to visit, but many require a reservation ahead of time, so be sure to check the appropriate park's website before visiting.
3. Haunted Outdoor (Distanced) Walking Tour - Austin Ghost Tours
Austin’s premier haunted walking tour has adapted for the current normal. This socially distanced tour through downtown Austin shares some of the city's more mystifying and supernatural history.
4. East Austin Ciders New Store on Barton Creek
East Austin Ciders has a brand new location right near our favorite city park. With a large patio, the new location is perfect to grab a quick chilled cider after a long day at work.
5. Pumpkin Everything
Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. Everyone's favorite spice has already fully taken over at local Austin restaurants. Stop by your favorite coffee shop for a sip of a pumpkin latte, or grab takeout from your favorite Austin restaurant and ask for their new seasonal specials.
