Moreland Properties partnered with Austin’s Habitat for Humanity for a volunteer work day.  We gathered up a handful of agents and staff and headed down to east Austin to help out in the construction of a new home.  Our tasks consisted of installing decking the roof and installing energy efficient windows.  The day started off chilly and we, but after getting to work we started to get warm.  A highlight of the day was being able to meet the future home owner and see her excitement as the house took shape.  Habitat for Humanity truly changes lives through all they do.  These work days really remind us of what goes into the construction of a home and how exciting it is to make one ready for a family in need.  Our agents help clients all day with picking out homes and it is a great reminder to us what truly goes into the actual project.  Austin Habitat hangs its real estate sponsorship with Moreland Properties and we are honored to be able to support them in their efforts as well as lend a helping hand for a work day.
