Kenny was born in Austin and is a sixth generation Central Texan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Edward's University in Austin. Before entering the real estate arena in 2001, he was the Director of Human Resources for Vignette Corporation.

Kenny sits on the School of Humanities' Advisory Board at St. Edward's University. He is an officer and board member for SaveTownLake.org, a non-profit organization that encourages responsible development along the Town Lake Corridor. Kenny is also a member of the Heritage Society of Austin, as well as an executive committee member of South River City Citizens Neighborhood Association. He is considered by many to be a strong advocate for our central city neighborhoods.

Kenny has the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation (CLHMS), but enjoys working with buyers and sellers of all types of homes.
